Exploration

Anomalies to the south (with float material grading up to 48 g/t gold) and east of the main zone at Asacha are potential exploration targets to increase the resource base. A significant diamond drilling programme was undertaken in 2004 and 2005. This program looked at infill, extensional and new exploration drilling in areas which have been subject to little work historically.

The company considers there to be good exploration potential, both in the areas surrounding the Asacha and Rodnikova deposits, and in the South Kamchatka area generally. The geological nature of the area is considered conducive to the formation of high grade epithermal style gold/silver metal deposits, and a large number of such occurrences have already been identified. Further exploration of these occurrences may significantly increase the resource base of Trans-Siberian Gold in Kamchatka.
