Exploration

The principal potential appears to lie within the existing Rodnikova orebodies, and extensions to the current veins that were extensively explored during Soviet times, but are not currently included in the resource base, and along major structures and faults running through the licence area.

The company considers there to be a good exploration potential within the Rodnikova deposit and surrounding area. The geological nature of the area is considered conducive to the formation of high grade epithermal style gold/silver metal deposits, and a large number of such occurrences have already been identified. Further exploration, which commenced in 2007, may significantly increase the resource base within the Rodnikova licence area.
